Press Release

Monday, June 8, 2020

YAS – Young Athlete Saskatchewan is a registered Saskatchewan non-profit and award-winning organization headed by certified teachers who are highly accomplished basketball skills-development coaches.

Everything is set to go for Young Athlete Saskatchewan (YAS) basketball camps to be held in Regina and Saskatoon this summer.

This will be YAS’s 45th summer.  YAS anticipates its 15,000 camp graduate this summer.

We are anxiously anticipating Premier Scott Moe’s announcement today.  “Camps” approval was previously declared under STAGE 4 of the province’s “re-opening plan”.
We expect the Premier to announce the approval of camps.

If “camps” are approved today, registrations for YAS summer basketball camps will be wide open immediately at

YAS has 32 weekly camps scheduled plus free “try-us-out” camps July 2 & 3 in each of Regina and Saskatoon.

The two attachments outline why YAS is one of the top-ranked sports skills camps in Canada, annually attracting youths from across the country and internationally.

We look forward to all contacts requesting more details and clarifications.

Best Regards and Thank You,

B.J. (Brian) North B.Ed., Administrator (Volunteer)
